The First Spark

The First Spark

Before design tools and product strategy, I fell in love with creativity by watching my older brother draw.
He studied Visual Arts in SHS, and I would sit beside him, sketching on my own paper, trying to create whatever he was creating. That early curiosity never left.

I even wanted to pursue Visual Arts myself, but I ended up choosing science, partly because I was strong in math, and also because invention, electronics, and computers also fascinated me.

The Path I Didn't Expect

The Path I Didn't Expect

Science led me to study Electrical/Electronics Engineering. Engineering led me to three years working in mining. Funny enough, the deeper I went underground, the clearer I could see what I truly wanted: design.

I picked up frontend development in University and built my final-year project, an exam sitting system for engineering students to curb cheating. Without knowing it, I was practicing user experience.

Then a friend introduced me to UX design. Everything clicked at once.

And as I grew in design, I realised something else just as important, I wasn't only drawn to solving problems.

I was drawn to people.

Finding My Voice in Community

Finding My Voice in Community

That instinct to connect with people naturally led me into community work. What began as a simple podcast with friends, thedsgnjunkies, grew into one of Ghana's biggest design communities. We later hosted FiDCon, a conference dedicated to upskilling designers across the country.

Teaching became a natural extension of this.

I've taught workshops at JACCD and Academic City, run webinars, and led mentorship programs, including a three-month fundamentals cohort designed to build strong foundations for product designers.

The Storyteller Emerges

The Storyteller Emerges

Alongside design, I discovered storytelling and filmmaking. YouTube became my space to teach, reflect, experiment, and document my creative journey. Fun fact, I used to do rap music so I know what a good story is when it comes to music.

I create content for one reason: impact. If a video helps someone think better, design better, or navigate their journey better, I've done my job.

My Philosophy

My Philosophy

Excellence guides everything I touch. I don't settle for "good enough." And I don't treat design like decoration.

For me, design is problem-solving first.

I believe great design blends empathy, psychology, culture, and environment, because people don't use products in isolation.

My manager/mentor once told me:

You make complex problems so clear that the solutions become obvious

You make complex problems so clear that the solutions become obvious

That clarity is my superpower and I bring that to every project.

What Drives Me

What Drives Me

Every part of my journey, engineering, music, teaching, content, community, has shaped how I think and what I build. And every project I take on now is centered around one mission:

Help people grow, solve meaningful problems, and leave things better than I found them.

Help people grow, solve meaningful problems, and leave things better than I found them.

This website brings all those threads together — my work, my talks, my videos, my community projects, and the stories I'm still writing.
